PDO Mono Threads is an innovative treatment that stimulates collagen production and fights the signs of ageing for firmer, more youthful looking skin.

PDO Mono Threads are small polydioxanone (PDO) threads that are injected under one’s skin, typically in the facial area, to create a face-lift like result.

The PDO threads, which are extremely thin and strong, are injected under the skin and into the tissue in the targeted area, which is usually either one’s face or neck.

The threads are designed to trigger natural collagen production in the injected area, which tightens one’s skin and eliminates wrinkles or sagging skin.

PDO Mono Threads provide a safe and effective way to improve facial contours without surgery. Using high-strength absorbable threads, they create a collagen-stimulating micro-structure to enhance skin elasticity, improve firmness, and reduce wrinkles. Results are typically visible after a few weeks.

What are mono threads?

What a lot of people don’t know is that there are a number of different types of PDO threads. PDO stands for polydioxanone, which basically means that the thread is a medical grade thread that your body eventually metabolizes as it’s composed of a protein. And it’s super super thin—thinner than a hair.

The three main types of PDO threads are mono, cog and screw threads. So when we talk about the thread lift in terms of addressing skin laxity, we’re most likely going to use a cog thread which has tiny barbs on it that serves to lift the tissue just below the surface of the skin in the target area.

Mono threads, on the other hand, don’t have barbs. They’re smooth threads that are used more for their collagen producing and volumizing capabilities. Mono threads can also effectively lift and tighten the skin, but they’re used more as a revitalizing skin treatment that works to thicken the skin and improve on textural irregularities of the skin.

What Are The Benefits Of Pdo Mono Threads?

There are a lot of benefits to PDO mono threads. They can tighten and thicken the skin, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. When the sutures dissolve, they stimulate your skin, improving natural collagen production. As collagen is one of the vital parts of keeping your skin healthy, this increased production level can have positive long term effects. But that’s not all.
